Description:
Porcelain bottle of flattened ovoid form with a flared top. Opalescent glass stopper with green ivory rim. Gilt rim on flask. Beautiful work. The reign marks correspond to Chien Lung (1736-1795). One side depicts two boys playing with ping pong (?) among trees and rocks. The other side depicts the same two boys playing with ? and flower? There is a fence in the background.

Using various bright colors, this bottle’s painter designed a lively garden scene with four children playing and holding different items including toys and a lotus. An inscription on the base reads Qianlong-nian-zhi (“made in the Qianlong period”).
